How do I enable or change the Yelp app's push notification settings?

The first thing you should do if you want to receive any kind of push notifications from the Yelp app is to enable them within your smartphone's general settings. Then, you can adjust your settings at a more granular level within the Yelp app itself—including Check-Ins, Check-in Comments, Check-In Likes, Tip Likes, Photo & Video Likes, Compliments, Messaging, & Announcements.

To change your push notifications for the Yelp app for iPhone/iPad

1. Tap More
2. Tap Settings
3. Tap Push Notifications
4. Use the toggle switches to customize the notifications you receive from the Yelp app

To change your push notifications for the Yelp app for Android devices

1. Tap the Overflow Menu from the Yelp app home screen
2. Tap Settings
3. Tap Push Notifications
4. Use the toggle switches to customize the notifications you receive from the Yelp app

If the correct notifications are enabled and you’re not receiving them, we suggest you log out of the app and then log back in. If you're still having trouble, we suggest you uninstall the Yelp app, restart your device, and leave the app uninstalled for a few hours before reinstalling it again.
