Yes, Yelpers who are also active on blogs or other social media platforms can be a part of the Elite Squad. We recognize that being an active poster on other sites can come with some sweet perks and special offers, so we ask that these Yelpers take extra care to review and follow Yelp’s Terms of Service and Content Guidelines, including the rules below.
Yelpers should not review a business if they received complimentary or discounted goods or services from the business, or otherwise received special treatment on account of their blogger or influencer status (e.g., special event invites or marketing trades). That said, Yelpers are welcome to review a business based on a separate, more typical consumer experience!
Accepting compensation or freebies in exchange for reviews and/or leveraging the Elite badge or Elite Squad for personal or commercial gain violates our Terms of Service and will result in Elite status being revoked and/or account closure.
