What are additional features on the iPad for Yelp Guest Manager?

Some additional features of the Yelp Guest Manager application include:
  • Almost Ready text notification. Use this feature to notify a party by SMS that they should head back to the restaurant to be seated shortly. To notify a party:
  1. Click into the waitlist party.
  2. Click the red Notify tab and then the Almost Ready button.
  3. A text will be sent to the party that their table is almost ready.
  • Two-way text messaging. If a customer replies to a text sent by the restaurant, the business has the option to respond through two-way text messaging. This will allow the business to respond to any inbound texts coming from customers. You can reply to text messages by clicking the envelope at the bottom left of the screen or by clicking into the specific waitlist party that has sent a text. WARNING: Do not use this platform to send unrequested promotional content.
  • Enter reservations in-house. Although customers can’t make online reservations through Yelp Waitlist, your staff has the ability to enter reservations in-house. To do this:
    1. Click the add party button on the top right of the screen.
    2. Choose the reservation setting at the top.
    3. Enter the reservation details.
    4. Click the RSV tab at the top left of the screen to check current and upcoming reservations. You may toggle between days to view specific reservations.
  • To utilize the Event Mode feature:
    1. Click the gear icon in the bottom left corner of the screen
    2. Scroll to the bottom of the settings menu and click Event Mode.
    3. Enter a title for the event.
*Note: Turning Event Mode on will disable the online waitlist for guests trying to join from your business’s Yelp page.
