Why was I asked to confirm my email address?

When your email address is added to a Yelp account we will email you to confirm you made this request. This happens when you sign up for a new account, or add a new email to an existing account. To confirm your address, click the button "Confirm Email" provided in the email.

I don’t want to confirm my email address

If you did not recently add your email address to Yelp, it's possible someone else did so on accident. Without your approval, your email address will remain unconfirmed and the associated account will remain limited in functionality.

If you would like to close the Yelp account entirely, you can request an account closure.
